Where to eat in Tallinn
A selection of my favourite restaurants in the Old Town of Tallinn and beyond. The selected places include the modern gastropub F Hoone and the unpretentious Boheeme in Telliskivi, the excellent burger joint Soo Uulits in Kalamaja, the classy and stylish Nomad in the Rotermann Quarter and, finally, my choice from the Old Town: the hidden GC Gastrobar.

Tips and suggestions on my favourite places to eat in Tallinn beyond its UNESCO Heritage Old Town.
The list includes five choices from different areas in central Tallinn, each of them with a particular atmosphere, style and price range.
So as the Estonians say: head isu!
F-Hoone
Probably one of the less pretentious of the collection of restaurants in the hip Telliskivi Creative City, F-Hoone has the perfect balance between a vintage and modern feel.
A wide variety of food and beverages complete an inexpensive menu that makes it worthy for every pocket. Ideal both for a cosy evening and a spontaneous dine out, always depending on the crowds.

Soo Uulits
If you are a burger lover, look no further than Soo Uulits. This gourmet restaurant in the Kalamaja district offers, in my opinion, the best burgers in Tallinn.
It has a big terrace outisde where to enjoy a chilled and relaxed dining experience on summer time. Don’t miss it!

Boheem
Simple but great, this modern bistro near Telliskivi Creative City is an excellent choice for a tasty dining experience in the heart of Kalamaja district.
At Boheem you will find a charming place with a true “bohemian” vibe, friendly and unpretentious staff and, what is more important, delicious dishes at great prices.

GC Gastrobar
My choice for a great dining experience in Old Tallinn. A modern, stylish and cosy place, what you will get in GC Gastrobar is, mainly, tranquility and tasty food.
Located only 2 minutes away from St. Olaf’s church and the Towers’ Square, this excellent gastrobar provides the best conditions for a fine dining experience away from the crowds in the Old Town.

Kampai
For sushi lovers, make sure to stop at this genuine restaurant if you happen to be in the Noblessner Seafront Quarter.
At Kampai deliver exquisite Japanese cuisine bringing a “piece of Tokio” to the table, as they say. On top of that, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere near the seaside of Tallinn seaside is waiting for you.
